
Sisto’s Early Years
American actor Jeremy Merton Sisto was born on October 6, 1974. His family lived in a rock house that was situated on twenty acres of Grass Valley, California land and farmed the area known as the lower Sierra Nevada range of mountains.
He Got the Acting Bug Early On
Maybe best known as Detective Cyrus Lupo on the long running NBC television program, Law & Order, Sisto has appeared in a long list of movies since 1991.
Jeremy Sisto’s acting career encompasses such diverse rolls as a Catholic priest in “Into Temptation” (2009), a police detective in “Law & Order” (2007-present), Jesus in a movie titled “Jesus” in (1999), Billy Chenowith for 31 episodes of “Six Feet Under” (2001-2005), T.K. in “Suicide Kings” (1997), a satanic creepy killer named Vassago in “Hideaway” (1995), and many more including his first role as Roberto in the 1991 movie Grand Canyon.
Jeremy and his older sister, Meadow, performed in parts at the Cherry Street Theater and Absolute Theater Company, in Chicago for a while, notably in the Tennessee Williams House Not Meant to Stand, an adaptation by Goodman Theaters. His mother, Reedy Gibbs, is also in the acting business. While in Chicago he also appeared with Brian Dennehy in a 1987 production of “Galileo”
Sisto attended UCLA for a while, and then began his acting career.

A Bit of Personal Stuff on Jeremy Sisto
He likes to play his guitar and play the Italian Bowling game called Bocci. He has a band with an album in the process, and he plays guitar and is the singer in the band.
Jeremy Sisto began a production company of his own in April, 2003. He likes working behind the scenes while producing a movie that is yet to be released titled “Taken” along with his friend Ethan Embry. He also produced “Three Women of Pain” and “Paranoia 1.0”.
Just like many aspiring actors, Jeremy kept himself busy working at places such as a Subway sandwich restaurant while awaiting his big break.
He gained a 2004 LA Drama Critics Circle A Award for his “Best Featured Performance” due to a play called “Take Me Out”.
Currently Jeremy Sisto and wife, actress Addie Lane have a baby girl“Charlie” born on March 11, 2009.
Law & Order: Twenty seasons and counting
The long running popular crime drama, Law & Order, picked up Jeremy Sisto for its 20th season on NBC television. The show, Law & Order has always been a particularly entertaining drama due to the fact it is sectioned off with part one being the crime (capture and arrest) followed by the justice (lawyers and the trial). The show has proven so popular it has spawned several spin off series, such as Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Law & Order Criminal Intent, and Law & Order Trial by Jury. The show has proven to be so popular that it is considered a franchise, including not only the original TV series but spin offs, books, a TV movie version titled “Exiled: A Law & Order Movie”, computer games, and a short lived reality type show called Crime and Punishment (2002-2004).
Jeremy Sisto aka Detective Cyrus Lupo Glad to be Back
Glad to see the series returning once more is Jeremy Sisto. He has been a part of Law & Order since 2007 and his role is an integral part of the show’s cast.His role of criminal attorney for the defense began in 2007, but when he returned in the next season his role was changed to that of a detective named Cyrus Lupo. He may have been a replacement for Fred Thompson, who went on to campaign for President when he left the show.
